Rio Tinto Big Science Competition

The Big Science Competition is organised by the Australian Science Innovations. It is an international competition with schools from Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, China, US and New Zealand taking part.

The competition is held annually, usually in May. It is suitable for students of all abilities from years 7 to 12. The competition challenges students to think critically and solve scientific problems using everyday examples.
